About Jenée

Jenée Luquette James is an opera singer and speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) with a diverse background. She holds an undergraduate degree in Music - Vocal Performance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a master's degree in Music - Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University, and a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant post baccalaureate certificate from the University of Colorado, at Boulder.

Throughout her career as an opera singer and private voice teacher, Jenée developed a deep interest in language, diction, and the pedagogy and anatomy/physiology of the vocal mechanism. This passion led her to explore the field of speech-language pathology, where she discovered a natural connection to her background in voice to language and its acquisition. She has since begun to focus her professional interests on fluency disorders, including stuttering, and language-based learning disorders, such as dyslexia, since beginning with Blossoming Minds Therapy in 2022.

As an SLPA, Jenée has gained years of experience across various settings, however, she is particularly proud to work for Blossoming Minds Therapy, as she believes in the highly individualized and tailored approach the practice offers, allowing her to provide the best care to her clients, while simultaneously yielding rewarding results for both client and clinician. Outside of her work, Jenée enjoys singing professionally, and spending her free time with her husband, baby, step-daughter, and their beloved pets.
